* It is a good idea to dilute all essential oils before applying on the skin.   A good dilution rate to start with is - 1 drop of essential oil with 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil such as coconut oil, olive oil, etc.  Then reduce carrier oil as you know how sensitive your baby’s skin is or isn’t.

Where to apply essential oils?  The sole of the foot is a good place to start, since this area has the biggest pores.  Applying oils to the feet helps absorb into the system better than almost anywhere else.  However, you can also apply to the area affected.  For occasional stomach upset, apply the oils to the stomach - for skin irritation, apply the oils directly to the injured area.  Keep oils away from eyes, mouth and ear canals.  Protect from the baby touching the area and rubbing their eyes.
